  • 11 December 2010 - Our Director Anna Johnston has had an opinion piece published in the Sydney Morning Herald today, in the regular News Review segment called The Question, in which four experts offer their views.  This week's topic was "Is privacy a lost cause?"
  • 8 November 2010 - Our Director Anna Johnston has been invited to speak at the world's biggest gathering of privacy professionals, the IAPP Global Privacy Summit, in Washington DC in March 2011.  She will be presenting a half-day workshop on 'how to conduct a Privacy Impact Assessment'.
  • 25 October 2010 - Our Director Anna Johnston has had an article titled "More trouble with Facebook" published in the Privacy Law Bulletin (2010, Vol. 7(2)).  You can see a copy here.
  • 14 September 2010 - Salinger Privacy is conducting a PIA for VicRoads on the RandL project, which will provide a common application platform for registration and licensing processes in three agencies. RandL is a large-scale project with a scheduled completion date of late 2012.
  • 9 September 2010 - Our Director Anna Johnston has joined the Editorial Board, chaired by the Hon Michael Kirby, of the Privacy Law Bulletin.

  • 27 August 2010 - Our trainer Andrea Calleia today completed some training sessions for a number of NGOs in western and far western NSW.  Our client sent a note of thanks:

  • 18 August 2010 - Salinger Privacy Director Anna Johnston delivered a presentation on recent privacy cases at NSW Parliament House, as part of a half-day meeting of NSW privacy and 'Right to Know' (FOI) officers.
  • 27 July 2010 - We've today been commissioned to do a range of further privacy development and training work for the NSW Department of Human Services - Ageing, Disability & Home Care.
  • 1 July 2010 - Today was 'go live' day for our client, the Australian Treasury, and its Standard Business Reporting (SBR) program.  We did the PIA for the SBR program, and today we received a lovely 'thank you' message from Treasury for our involvement in the design.
  • 10 June 2010 - An article in The Age newspaper today notes some of the changes made to the design of the $77M Ultranet project as a result of our PIA earlier this year.
  • 19 May 2010 - We have just published Edition 4 of our annotated guide to the NSW privacy laws, "PPIPA In Practice".
  • 3 May 2010 - HAPPY PRIVACY AWARENESS WEEK!  Today we attended the launch of an online ID Theft Tool, developed for the public by the Asia Pacific Privacy Authorities.  Test yourself to find out how you can lower your own risk of identity fraud or theft.
  • 12 April 2010 - Congratulations to our Privacy Consultant Emma Shaw, who has just been informed that she won first place in three of her final Uni subjects last year, including Public Interest law and Human Rights law!  Emma will be admitted as a solicitor later this year, and we're thrilled to have her as part of our team.
  • 31 March 2010 - We have just completed a PIA for the Victorian Department of Education and Early Childhood Development, on their $60M Ultranet project.
  • 5 February 2010 - We have been chosen by the NSW Department of Human Services to conduct a privacy audit of its Ageing, Disability & Home Care operations.
  • 19 January 2010 - An article in the Sydney Morning Herald today about technology in the classroom outlines some of the functions of Ultranet.  We have been engaged by the Victorian Department of Education and Early Childhood Development to conduct a PIA of its $60M Ultranet project.
